Mr Josef Watfah is a expert general surgeon based in Harrow, London. He specialises in open and larascopic surgery, coloproctology, hernia and gallbladder surgery, anal fissures and haemorrhoids.
He studied at Universität Innsbruck in Austria where he became a Doctor of Medicine in 2000. He spent almost three years at the university hospital in Salzburg, Austria as a consultant in the colorectal unit. At this unit, he ran a colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease service. In 2010 he was the resident surgical officer and clinical fellow at St. Marks Hospital and a specialist surgeon at the Paracelsus Medical University Salzburg, Austria. In 2014, he held a general surgeon position at St. Mark’s Hospital with a special interest in emergency general surgery, including open and larascopic surgery.
Mr Watfah is the educational and clinical supervisor for junior trainees, an examiner on PACES final year student exams and a course faculty member of CCrISP (Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patients).
