Ms Lynn Stevenson is a skilled consultant general and colorectal surgeon based in Aberdeen who specialises in laparoscopic lower GI (gastrointestinal) surgery. With more than 20 years of experience, she is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of haemorrhoids, anal fistula, bowel disease, hernias and colorectal cancer. Ms Stevenson currently sees patients at Albyn Hospital.

Ms Stevenson qualified from the University of Aberdeen and completed a Masters in Medical Law at the University of Glasgow. She became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010, before going on to accomplish the prestigious Ethicon laparoscopic colorectal fellowship at Morriston and Singleton Hospitals in Wales, where she acquired proficiency in complex surgical techniques that improve patient outcomes. Upon her return to Scotland, Ms Stevenson was appointed consultant colorectal and general surgeon at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and later, at Albyn Hospital. She is on the GMC’s specialist register for general surgery since 2011.

In addition to her specialised clinical roles, Ms Stevenson has also served as regional surgical advisor for the Royal College of Surgeons. She is, at present, a member of various professional organisations, including the British Medical Association and The Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland.
