Mr Sashi Yeluri is a consultant laparoscopic, general, upper GI, and bariatric surgeon at Park Hill Hospital. He specialises in gastric balloonacid refluxherniagallbladder surgerybariatric surgery and endoscopy. He is also an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Sheffield, a Royal College surgical tutor at his NHS hospital, and a PLAB examiner for the General Medical Council.
 
After graduating in 2000, Mr Yeluri earned a Masters in Surgery (MS) qualification in general surgery. He completed his entire surgical training in Yorkshire and later did a fellowship in Upper GI and Bariatric Surgery at Concord Hospital in Sydney, Australia. He earned a MD from the University of Leeds in 2012 for laboratory based research in cancer biology at the Leeds institute of molecular medicine (LIMM) having received a grant from Yorkshire cancer research. He also holds a postgraduate diploma in health research.
 
In 2014, Mr Yeluri became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. He has received visiting fellowship grants from the Royal College of Surgeons of England to visit bariatric and Upper GI units in Bruges, Belgium. He has received educational grants to visit the units in Brisbane and Melbourne.
 
His research focuses on refluxbariatric surgery, and general surgery, with publications and presentations at national and international conferences.
 
In addition to his clinical and research work, Mr Yeluri is actively involved in teaching and serves as invited faculty both regionally, nationally and internationally.
