Mr Abhijit Guha is a leading orthopaedic surgeon based in the West Midlands region, which includes Birmingham, Worcester and Droitwich. He holds a special interest in foot and ankle conditions such as ankle sprains, bunion surgery, claw toes, ankle and hindfoot arthritis and tendon injuries.
Mr Guha graduated from the University of Calcutta, India and undertook his masters degree there before coming to the UK to train in Southend, Manchester and to undertake his orthopaedic surgery rotation in Wales. He underwent two prestigious fellowships in the UK, studying foot and ankle surgery at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore and the Southmead and Frenchay Hospitals, Bristol.
As a keen academic, his work includes research, audit and teaching and he is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. Mr Guha is a reviewer for the British Medical Journal and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on foot and ankle surgery, amongst other streams of orthopaedics.
