Dr Rodney Foale is a leading cardiologist in London who holds an interest in the diagnosis, investigation and treatment of coronary artery disease and angioplasty techniques. Dr Foale also specialises in hypertension and general adult cardiology.
Dr Foale graduated from Melbourne University in 1971 and from 1973 onwards trained in cardiology at the London Hammersmith and National Heart hospitals. Between 1980 and 1982 he was a clinical fellow at Harvard University at the Massachusetts Hospital and MIT Boston before returning to London at the BHF Professor’s senior registrar at the Royal Post-Graduate Medical School, Hammersmith Hospital.
Dr Foale was appointed consultant cardiologist at the St Mary’s Hospital in 1985. He is co-director of the International Centre for Circulatory Health (ICCH) supporting research at St Mary’s Hospital and Imperial College London.
