Mr Vikas Vedi is a leading consultant orthopaedic surgeon, with a specialist interest and fellowship training in hip and knee surgery, including joint replacement and revision surgery, and sports injuries. He also has extensive experience of foot and ankle surgery.
Mr Vikas Vedi practises at a number of prestigious private clinics around North West and West London and works within the NHS at Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospitals Trust.
Mr Vedi is especially known for his progressive work in being the first UK orthopaedic surgeon to offer the nSTRIDE Autologous Protein Solution (APS), an injection to treat the pain associated with knee osteoarthritis, shown to reduce or eliminate pain in 85% of patients. Mr Vedi was also the UK principal investigator for new technology in knee replacement surgery, and also was an advisor for the Department of Health.
Alongside his clinical work, Mr Vedi also dedicates time to teaching, being a regular speaker on international courses, and is a regular speaker at international conferences. He has written numerous articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, and has been awarded the clinical excellence award four times.
