Dr Zainab Jiyad is a consultant dermatologist based in London who specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, eczema and psoriasis. With over 10 years' experience, she is also an expert in moles, and regularly performs skin checks and skin surgery services for skin cancers including melanoma, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. Dr Jiyad currently sees patients at One Hatfield Hospital

Dr Jiyad qualified from University College London in 2009, achieving distinction in clinical practice and a certificate of merit in each year of medical school. Her higher specialist dermatology training took place at St George’s Hospital and King’s College Hospital, London. During her training, she undertook a higher research degree at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research in Australia. This research degree, which looked at actinic keratosis in organ transplant recipients, was highly commended by the British Association of Dermatologists (Clive Archer THESIS fellowship) and led to the award of a Research MD in 2019. 

With a prominent role in dermatology practice as well as clinical research, Dr Jiyad is also a member of the British Association of Dermatologists and The Royal College of Physicians. She has published widely in high-impact medical journals and is also the accomplished author of the Wiley published textbook, “Handbook of Skin Disease Management”. In additional to her private practice, Dr Jiyad holds a consultant dermatologist post at St George’s University Hospital and an honorary senior lecturer position at the Population Health Research Institute.
