Mr Majed Shabbir is a highly esteemed consultant urological surgeon at the London Bridge Hospital, specialising in andrology, male infertility and genito-urethral reconstruction.
Mr Shabbir graduated with an MBBS from St George's Hospital Medical School, the University of London in 1997. He went on to complete a two-year fellowship program in penile cancer, andrology and genito-urethral reconstruction at The Institute of Urology, University College London Hospital and trained with the penile cancer and genito-urethral reconstruction team at St George’s Hospital London. At present, he is also a consultant urological surgeon to Guy's and St Thomas' and practices at The London Clinic Consulting Rooms at 145 Harley Street.
He organises and runs national postgraduate andrological training courses for the BAUS section of andrology, including the microsurgical vasectomy reversal/infertility course and the AGOUR course for the FRCS (Urol). He is currently the lead clinician for the University Hospital Lewisham urology service and is a clinical and educational supervisor for foundation year and speciality training doctors.
Mr Shabbir has published a number of clinical papers on genital reconstruction and penile cancer, as well as several book chapters on penile reconstructive surgery and penile cancer. He was awarded the Royal College of Surgeons of England Simpson Research Fellowship Grant supported by the TR Golden Charitable Trust in 2002 and the International Cardura Award for Urological Research in 2003.
