Dr Luis Barbosa

Professional statement

Dr Luis Barbosa is a highly qualified and revered dentist who specialises in zygomatic implants, immediate implants, dental implants, dental bone grafts, dental prostheses, as well as tooth wear. He is currently practising at the award-winning dental clinic 3 Step Smiles Glasgow.

Dr Barbosa achieved his first medical qualification in 2006, obtaining a degree in dentistry at Sao Paulo University in Brazil. After this, the revered dentist went on to successfully complete an LMD in dentistry, this time at Porto University in Portugal. He would then go on to obtain a MSc in aesthetic dental implantology from the University of Central Lancashire in 2015.

Notably, Dr Barbosa was awarded two international scholarships to attend both the University of Poznan, in Poland, and the world-renowned Faculty of Dentistry of Bauru at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Interestingly, Dr Barbosa began his professional medical career in Sweden, where he gained a significant amount of experience in relation to world-class public dental service practices and protocols. He has has a postgraduate certificate in implantology to his name.
