Miss Fatima Husain is a leading gynaecologist and obstetrician based in Slough. She currently sees patients at Spire Thames Valley Hospital and OPUS clinic, Windsor. Miss Husain sees patients with a range of gynaecological issues such as period problems, pelvic pain, early pregnancy problems and infertility.
She is the Clinical Lead for fertility services at Wexham Park Hospital, and also leads the service for FGM in her NHS Trust. She is Associate Adjunct Professor for medical students based at Wexham Park for the American University of the Caribbean.
In 1986, she qualified from King's College Hospital Medical School in London. Miss Husain completed her postgraduate training in obstetrics & gynaecology in London, having worked at Queen Charlotte's and St George's hospitals and others.
She had advanced specialist training in IVF and infertility at Guy's Hospital Assisted Conception Unit. Miss Husain is an NHS Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Heatherwood and Wexham Park hospitals, which are part of Frimley Health Foundation Trust. She has completed special skills training in gynaecological ultrasound.
She has been a doctor for over 30 years. Miss Husain's private practice is based at the Spire Thames Valley and she sees patients from Windsor, Ascot, Slough, Chalfont, Gerrards Cross and Maidenhead, and hence most of Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.
Miss Husain has written in a range of publications including, the British Medical Journal, Human Fertility, Infertility Network magazine and has had presentations at British Fertility Society Conferences.
