Ms Andrea Day is a leading consultant gynaecologist and obstetrician who specialises in general women’s health problems such as heavy periods, pelvic pain, fibroids, polyps and ovarian cysts and has a special interest in acute gynaecology, pelvic scanning, early pregnancy complications and performs minor gynaecological procedures under local anaesthetics. She practices privately at West Middlesex University Hospital and Stonehealth (Diga 33), while her NHS base is Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust.

Ms Day does consultations both in English and Spanish. She has an MBBS from the Universidad Central de Venezuela and pursued her career in the UK training in well-renowned teaching hospitals in London such as King’s College Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and University College Hospital.  

She actively participates in teaching and research and has published in several scientific journals, presented in national and international conferences and is the co-author of numerous chapters in books with experts on the field.  Furthermore, she's actively involved in medical education with Imperial College London and simulation training in laparoscopy and pelvic ultrasound.

She has a passion for patient safety and quality improvement and was recently appointed the lead role for gynaecology governance in her unit.  She works with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient experience and care and is currently developing an app to support women who suffer with nausea and vomiting in early pregnancy.

Ms Day is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy and the General Medical Council.
